為了因應 6.2-Release 的出現，Ports tree is frozen。
Ports Freeze 是為了讓該階段所有的 ports 都能正常安裝（標 BROKEN 也算 :p），不會有斷手斷腳的情況。而在 Ports tree tagged 之前，所有的 ports commit 都得經過 portmgr@ 的認可。不過這段期間內， portmgr@ 只會 approve 有安全性疑慮或是 unbreak port 的 commit 。換句話說，一般最常出現的 version update 是被自然地忽略的。詳細的情況可以參考這篇：
All changes must be approved by portmgr. In general, only the following will be accepted:
- fixes that would prevent a port from installing or deinstalling properly for the upcoming release.
- security problems. If sufficiently severe, these may imply the need to create a slipped tag.
- licensing issues. These require a slipped tag.
所以也是 ports committer 難得可以休息的時候啦。
